Nobility – Your Core Essence

What is Nobility?

The word nobility conjures up thoughts and images of people throughout the world who have the most prestigious positions and duties. At least it used to for me, and the roles I envisaged were people who belonged to royal families. That’s what I thought nobility was.

The purpose of nobility

Now I have a different understanding of nobility. Nobility is the core essence of your own greatness. Everyone has their own unique skills, talents and gifts to offer the world. Nobody is better than anyone else, regardless of what position and role we are currently playing in life. Nobility is being the best version of yourself you can be.

The small stuff

Just like money, lots of little things add up to big things. Coins turn into dollars – it’s all cash. Thoughts and actions equal to your life. When life is overwhelming, and things appear too hard to handle, take affirmative action in some small area of your life. Improving something, anything, will make you feel good and inspire you to take further action.

Living and learning

I once read a fridge magnet which read ‘Experience is what you get when you don’t get what you wanted’. Life is about living and learning and growing and developing, which we do not just physically but emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. Every day we live and learn, either by reading or doing, both of which are actions. Sometimes you get what you want, and sometimes you get the experience instead. You never know which one you’ll get. Either way, it’s beneficial.

The balance of nobility

Nobility conjures up thoughts of ethical standards that you set for yourself. Acts of decency. Therefore it is essential to recognise that you are always ‘becoming’ the person you strive to be. You do not expect your friends to be perfect 100% of the time and therefore you should treat yourself as your own best friend and give yourself some slack also. Thinking negative thoughts about yourself negatively impacts your mental health. Life is about living and learning, so remember when it comes to opinions about other people or yourself – be kind, be kind, be kind.
