Faith - Life Has Meaning
Faith - Life Has Meaning
What is faith?
Faith is having utter and complete trust in something or someone. Faith is a feeling that all will turn out right in the end – somehow – in spite of having no idea how it will work out.
Faith in the unknown
There are so many situations where faith comes into play. There is silent inner confidence when it comes to faith because it is about mysterious future happenings. For instance, faith is the outcome of your beliefs which may, or may not be religious. Your faith might be due to your mindset, such as a belief in the ‘law of attraction’. Or for various other reasons.
Mindset and actions
There is no doubt that your mindset affects your actions, regardless of whether your mindset is positive or negative. The word faith conjures up a more assured perspective as the word implies that faith is free from doubt. For example, if you have a goal in mind that you want to achieve, you will make it because your mindset is geared towards it and therefore, your actions will lead you there. Faith is more about knowing you are going to achieve your goal, although you are the necessary steps in that direction, you don’t know all the steps, and that is OK.
Your choice
Sometimes you may not have the faith, or confidence, in yourself. Alternatively, you may not have all the know-how, skills, knowledge or ability to get to where you want to go. However, you get to choose to continue taking the steps, one at a time and have the faith that somehow, what you need will appear and an opportunity or a person who has what you need will come into your life and help you along your way. In times of despair, keep taking the steps and keep your thoughts firmly set on the outcome and ban all doubt when it comes to negative thoughts – keep the faith.
The balance of faith
It is natural to have both positive and negative thoughts and for doubt, fear and other negative emotions, ideas and feelings come to mind. When they do replace the negative with the positive such as hope, trust, certitude, zeal and purpose – and always remember there is no point in being critical of yourself – always be kind, be kind, be kind.
